JAPANESE GARDEN I.

Last Saturday I was tumblin' (as usual) when I stumbled upon a gorgeous picture of a garden with a bright red bridge. After discovering that the picture was taken at a Japanese garden in the Netherlands I googled the location and discovered that the garden is actually located about 45 minutes from my house, in Clingendael Park. Apparently it is only open for a couple of weeks a year and that Sunday would be the final visiting day.

I managed to convince Lidewij to come with me and together we went out to explore the garden. I'm not much of a 'let's take a stroll through the park' kind of girl, but whenever I'm outside I enjoy it more than I expect beforehand. This day was no exception. The garden was amazing (but crowded) and we spent at least an hour wandering around and taking pictures, since we both own fancy schmancy cameras now.

Picture 2 & 3 were taken bij Lidewij.

I love those kinds of things, where you realize something beautiful is so close by without you knowing about it :)
