Christmas Lunch at The Thomas Cubitt.

This week marked my third Christmas in London and I celebrated it with Rosianna. I'm still not entirely used to all the British Christmas traditions (Christmas crackers, a festive lunch instead of a dinner? Madness!) but every time it feels a bit more familiar.

Booking a table turned out to be quite tricky, but Rosianna got us a table at The Thomas Cubitt in Belgravia. So on Christmas morning we put on our fanciest Christmas outfits and red lipstick and jumped into a taxi. It's always a surprise to see how quiet London is on Christmas morning. We arrived a bit early, so we walked up and down the neighbouring streets, looking into the closed shops. Of course we couldn't resists snapping some pictures too.

At noon it was finally time to eat and our vegetarian menu was absolutely divine. Usually I expect to get tiny portions when I'm a fancy restaurant, but there was definitely more food than we could eat. Look at those Brussels sprouts! And the cheese! The Champagne and paper crowns made everything even more festive (and we might have also spent the time between our courses playing with the toys that came inside the crackers).
