Three or four years ago I spent the couple of days leading up to Christmas in London with a friend. We did not expect the INSANITY that is Christmas-shopping London, but had a great time walking through the crazy crowds and looking at all the pretty lights. We left de day before Christmas, since we wanted to celebrate at home and not just with the two of us in a tiny hotel room, and I never thought I would actually get to spend Christmas in London.
This year I didn't celebrate with my family, but with Marion and her mom and sister. We even stayed in central London for two days, since public transportation doesn't run on Christmas day (I learn something new every day) and we already had fancy dinner reservations near Piccadilly Circus. Being in Central London meant that Marion and I had plenty of opportunities to wander around the city and enjoy the semi-empty streets while gazing longingly through the windows of closed shops. It's nights like those that make me realise how lucky I am to be in this city.

Beautiful Photos Sanne :)
These photos are gorgeous! Beautiful, can't wait to go to London again!
Nice shots. Very sharp images for shooting at night. Can I ask what lens you were using?
Hey! This was shot on a 60D with a Canon 50 mm f/1.4 lens.
