Liberté - like Targé, but nicer - a (not so) hidden gem, right off Regent Street. I don't know how I've managed to avoid it on trips to London over the last couple of years, but I didn't discover Liberty until Marion took me there while she was studying abroad in 2011. Imagine a cosy Harrods with a Victorian exterior at a 2 minute walk from the flagship TopShop on Oxford Street.
This fancy department store has been around since 1875 and seems to attract a lot of French shoppers. Highlights include: the chocolate shop, the haberdashery, the Christmas department and - my personal favorite - the stationary department. It's heaven for every notebook-lover! Some items are a bit over-priced, but if you're lucky you can pick up some treasures and walk out with the beautiful purple bag.
This time I went home with an owl stamp, which was marked down from £20(!) to £10. I know, I know, still kind of pricy, but worth it. I'm planning on stamping this baby on every single envelope I send out in the future (well, perhaps not the job applications).
The library cards are my favorite purchase. Not only do they look adorable, but they're also quite useful. I want to read 50 books this year and guess how many card are in this package. Perfect! I'll use one of these cards as a bookmark for every book I read. This way I'll be able to take notes for my video reviews and have them in one place (and not on my phone and five different receipts and napkins, as usually happens) and I'll have a nice collection at the end of the year.

Liberty. What a wondrous place it is, my very favourite London department store - so much personality to the place, I love their merchandising and window displays. But like you my very favourite department is the stationery section!! It is lethal to my bank balance as I rarely come out without buying anything!
Your choices are fantastic - I'm an avid letter writer (dying art I adore) and that stamp is just the sort of thing I'd love to stamp my letters with.
The library cards are brilliant, I love picking up a second hand ex-library book with return dates stamped inside the front cover or an old library card still in it! They're few and far between though so you've snagged a lovely purchase in those vintage-look lovelies. Ah books and stationery. Combo made in heaven!

I love Liberty so much. I love browsing through the clothes that there is no way I'll be able to afford, and the beauty section is so nice. I've never visited the stationary section (shock horror!) but I'll have to visit next time I go. I love owls!

Oh I love the library notecards, I am forever scribbling in notebooks and on bookmarks and those look much classier!
this was a lovely blog post, the library card thing is a really good idea! :)
Wait wait wait-- Liberty stocks knot & bow merchandise?! They're a super cool Etsy shop that I adore, but shipping fees are ridiculous. This is awesome news!
Whattttt? I didn't know that was an Etsy Shop!
I love Liberty's, have to go there really quick. Love the photos as well, so pretty. I nominated you for a Liebster Awards by the way. :)
Ik wil deze winkel zeker een keer in! Ik hou van notebooks!! En die kaartjes zijn echt het einde. Ik wist niet eens dat het bestond. ;)
I wish I have this shop in my town, they have amazing stuff.
Oh, wat een toffe uilenstempel! Ik 'ontdekte' je net via Youtube en ben helemaal fan! :)
So I have a question that isn't related to this post at all, but more to your studies. I've been wanting to study translation and I would love to do so, however I live in Sweden and obviously Swedish isn't the biggest language in the world. Seeing as your first language is Dutch, I figured you would know a bit about the job market for translators from countries that don't speak French/Spanish/German/other huge languages. Is there any hope of actually being able to provide for oneself working as a translator to/from Swedish?
Eeeek! I am so glad I have stumbled across your blog. I absolutely love it as well as your youtube channel. Gonna be rummaging through your archive this weekend :)
