Vapiano is spacious, filled with light and has a very simple design. The ordering system, however, is a bit of a shock for first time customers. When you walk in, you get handed something that basically resembles a bank card. You pick your own table and then go up to the different food stations, offering them your card every time. Once you've ordered you get one of those small blinking machines that will light up when your food is ready. At the end of your meal you go downstairs and pay for everything. No more issues trying to split the bill! This payment system, the beautiful location and the forrest of rosemary plants make it the perfect place for a casual lunch or dinner.
I've only had the chance to go to this gorgeous restaurant twice, but I recently discovered that there is a Vapiano close to Oxford Circus. I can't wait to take my friends there and order some delicious tiramisu (and bread, oh my, the bread).

Hi Sanne,
I got here through your channel and decided to drop a line. I can't even remember how exactly I came across your book reviews but ended up spending half of Saturday with your YouTube playlist while painting chairs in my apartment. Seriously :) This resulted in extending my yearly challenge from 50 to 100 movies, putting 'Player One' and 'Thinking with Type' on the list of books to read and this evening I'm planning to watch 'Never Let Me Go'. So yeah... Thanks! Karola
I love Vapiano! I go all the time at the location in Arlington, VA and have been to a Germany location as well when I used to live there. The bank card method is convenient but tricky! I always spend more than I mean to because it's so easy!
